The Official Summer Kick-Off | Memorial Day Weekend Happenings

The smell of salt air and sunscreen ushers in the start of Summer! We are excited to kick-off the season with a weekend of family fun. From the Harbor in Destin to the Village of Baytowne Wharf, there is something for everyone to do!

Saturday, May 26^th
7:00pm | Live Music by Farewell Angelina- This all-female country group features powerhouse vocalists, heart-stopping harmonies and blazing fiddles and guitars.
Sunday, May 27^th
6:00pm | An evening of family fun awaits. Activities include face painting, balloon animals and lawn games as well as live music by local favorites, Coconut Radio starting at 7:00pm. Fireworks will light up the sky with a patriotic show at 9:15pm.
Monday, May 28^th
7:00pm | A Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on the Events Plaza lawn honoring the men and women that lost their lives while serving our Country.

Saturday, May 26^th
7:00pm | The John Hart Project kicks off a weekend of live music. This acclaimed guitar player has his own unique sound of blues and Americana rock.
Sunday, May 27^th
4:30pm | Local favorite Flash Flood entertains with a variety of classic rock, 80’s favorites and current hits. 
7:00pm | Take a blast to the past with Departure: The Journey Tribute Band. You will be singing along to fan favorites “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Any Way You Want It” by the end of the night. 
9:00pm | Fireworks burst over the Harbor lighting up the night. Immediately following the show, enjoy a firespinning show by Just Add Fire.
